We have a large case load of large animal work and are looking for another full-time mixed animal Veterinarian. We would like to also bring into the practice a doctor with a special interest in small animal medicine and surgery to join our skilled team of 10 DVMs that are committed to self-improvement and team collaboration to provide the highest quality of care and service. Someone is always available for mentoring, while also sharing on call emergency service to provide work/life balance. We have a great environment for mentoring and supporting your special interests in medicine and surgery, as someone is usually around to assist you with that difficult medicine case or new surgical approach. Our veterinarians strongly believe in staying up to date with and offering the most current and best medicine.
We have a modern and  well-equipped facility that includes separate equine sound portable DR radiology, EVO III ultrasound and small animal Scil Smart digital radiography, power floats, Logiq ultrasound, tonometry, high speed vetpro small animal dental and midmark digital dental radiography, endoscope for TCI and in house lab (Abaxis, Idexx and Imagyst) Our 7,000 square foot small animal facility and 20,000 square foot Equine/Bovine facility is built to accommodate multiple doctors seeing multiple species. Facilities include two sets of equine stocks, bovine facilities with 2 hydraulic chutes, 1 of which is a layover, a layover surgery table, and a 2 standing chutes. We have 2 ambulatory trucks w/ vet boxes. 

Our new large animal office with reception area, equine stock treatment room, surgery room, recovery/small ruminant room, and lab area has now added another level of service to the farm animal clientele...a must see to appreciate. 
Deason Animal Hospital is located in the city of Floresville Texas on 4 acres and only a short drive from San Antonio with big city amenities. Ample access to outdoor recreation activities to include golf, hunting, fishing, and roping etc..

We are currently a 10 Veterinarian family owned Mixed Animal Practice with separate small and large animal facilities. We are located 30 minutes southeast of downtown San Antonio. We provide a progressive style of small animal medicine, surgery and ranch services to multiple South Texas counties. We are 55% small animal, 25% Bovine and 20% Equine depending on the season. Our practice is well-equipped and has a highly effective staff.
