Colorado, Barker Road Spay and Neuter is a low-cost spay, neuter, and wellness clinic in Aurora, Colorado. We also offer dental procedures and vaccine/wellness services. Our doctor is currently the sole owner and DVM at the practice. Due to the rapid growth and high demand of our services, we are seeking a part-time DVM to join the practice.
Currently, we do only soft tissue (spays and neuters) on Mondays and Fridays, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays we also do on average 2 dentals with a lighter soft-tissue surgery case load. In the afternoons from 2-4, there are wellness appointments and pre-dental exams. Patients are dropped off for procedures between 7-8am, and they are discharged between 4-5pm. The average work day is 7am-5pm, but a later start time could be discussed. We also have appointments on Saturdays from 8am-noon. Once we add another DVM, we are hoping to open Wednesdays, as well.
We are flexible with your preferred schedule and case preferences. We would prefer someone who can work 2 days per week, but are open to 1 day per week. It is preferred that you are comfortable with a high surgical case load. An average spay/neuter day is about 15 surgeries per doctor. On dental days, it is typically two dentals and 6-8 spays/neuters.
Barker Road is a new, state-of-the art, beautiful clinic at an excellent location off of Parker Road near 225. Our surgery suite is large and bright, and has 3 surgery tables. There are 3 prep tables in treatment, one of which is a wet table. We have digital dental x-ray. DVM or VMD from an accredited US vet school or equivalent. Current CO license. Negotiable- willing to discuss preferences. Can do either a day rate, hourly rate, or percentage of production
