North Star Equine Sports Medicine is a boutique exclusively equine ambulatory veterinary practice that is veterinarian-owned. Guided by a high standard of excellence and dedication to top level sports medicine, our vision is to provide personalized veterinary care that positions the comfort and well-being of the horse at the forefront of our partnership.

Our veterinarians provide a variety of services including evaluations for lease or purchase, performance maintenance , lameness and routine physical exams. They are well-equipped to perform a variety of diagnostic imaging, including ultrasonography, digital radiography, endoscopy and gastroscopy. Shockwave, therapeutic ultrasound, laser and FES therapies are routinely offered. 

As a result of our continued growth and strong desire to provide the highest level of concierge service to our clients, there are currently two unique veterinary openings. Our practice is focused on top-level sports medicine across hunter, jumper and dressage disciplines. 

One position is for a sports medicine apprentice. This is ideal for those looking to transition from a post-graduate internship into a career path in sports medicine. This position requires a seasonal presence in Wellington, Florida and intermittent travel for the summer months. 

The second opportunity is for a seasoned associate to join our team and cultivate their practice. This position has the option to be based year-round in the northeast (New York/Tri-State area). 

Our ideal candidates are honest professionals with a distinctly strong work ethic. They are able to communicate effectively and eager to contribute toward and participate in an exceptional team environment. Veterinary licensure in good standing is required for both openings.
