Large Animal Mobile Externship
Hoof and Horn is looking for students interested in large or mixed animal experience. We are located in the Raleigh/Durham area in North Carolina. We have a mobile only practice treating goats, pet and production pigs, horses, sheep, cows, and camelids (in that order). Every day is an adventure and unique with great clientele and great patients! We serve a mixture of pet animals and small production farms. We are a one-vet practice with a full time veterinary assistant and pre-vet students usually riding along, and an office manager to help keep us organized. We see goat births in the spring, lots of goat and pig castrations, routine herd/pet care and emergencies. Emergency on-call is optional.
